Kalyn's camera has this setting that makes you look like a ghost and these are some pics I took.
So we put the ladies up in a hotel for the night in Denver (needless to say there were very discouraged). Me and the rest of the brood headed home. I got an email prayer request out and got all of the necessary documents together. Driving back to Denver early the next morning, with a van full of very tired kiddos, we headed to the passport office. Thankfully all went amazingly smooth and we had Kalyn's new passport by 11:30am. We could breath easy! We got the word out to everyone and even reached the rest of the team, who was already in London. After lunch it was off to the airport, early, to make sure there would be no more problems!
They left last night at 8:30 and are in London now (I have not heard from them, but I know they are there!) Tonight they will fly to South Africa and then make a connection to Uganda on Saturday. They are arriving a day and a half behind the rest of the mission team, but they will get there! Sorry for the lack of photos, but I promise to have some the next entry, along with tales of the mom minus the momms and big sister. As I get word from Shonni and Kalyn I will update on them as well. Bless ya'll!

Thank you for your prayers....
Shonni and Kalyn
"For just as there are many parts that compose one body, but the parts don't all have the same function; so there are many of us, and in union with the Messiah we comprise one body, with each of us belonging to the others. But we have gifts that differ and which are meant to be used according to the grace that has been given to us. If your gift is prophecy, us it to the extent of your trust; if it is serving, use it to sense, if you are a teacher, use your gift in teaching; if you are a counselor, use your gift to comfort and exhort; if you are someone who gives, do it simply and generously; it you are in a position of leadership, lead with diligence and zeal, if you are one who does acts of mercy, do them cheerfully."

happy that he survived the lighting of the candles...
loving on his gifts...for all he knows they are empty boxes...it wouldn't matter to him...he's just happy that it is his day...

I have so many sweet things that the LORD has been speaking to me as I get ready for this mission trip to Uganda. I know that it is silly, but I was asking God how/what do I do to serve Him on this mission trip. I read the Bible, prayed and asked for quite some time. I am sure now that He was smiling and listening to my questioning heart. I have been to Africa before, but I was going to bring home a little one. So this is different, and I so want to be prepared to serve Him and them.

"Be still and know that I am God" Psalm 46:10.
I am grateful for the Word of God that speaks to my heart what I need to hear!
"Come and see what God has done: He is awesome in His deeds toward the children of man. Psalm 66:5
I am grateful for God's beautiful world and little ones to see it with; they both nurture my spirit and fill me with joy.
"For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." Psalm 91:11
I am so grateful that He sends His angels to guard us; this promise gives me peace.
"The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. You open your hand: you satisfy the desire of every living things." Psalm 145:15-16
I am so grateful that as I look to my Heavenly Father, He provides for not only what I need for physical health, but also what I need for emotional health...He cares about my desires (for His Glory) which gives me purpose.

This week’s theme at I Love Faces is: "My Favorite Face Photo" for the "Blurb Photo Book” Contest.
I am entering this one in the amateur catagory. I just love the feel of this photo with Caresse "set apart" from the background, yet the color of the back ground "sets off" Caresse.

Proverbs 14:4 "Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox."
I have always liked this verse as it reminds me that I will not have a perfectly clean house, or lack in good work to do each day because the LORD has filled our home with children.
I am grateful to the LORD that my "manger" is not empty ...
and grateful for the abundant crops that I have now....
and for the strength to daily labor in love for them and for HIM!

Sometime I get so caught up in the things of life that I push God of to the side. It is so easy to get wrapped up in daily life. When I am not doing school I am helping mom or the kids or just having some time to myself. I find other things I would rather be doing then listening to Gods word. Its so easy for all of us to get lost in the world. In what needs done today and what we need to buy and who needs what. We get caught up in the stress and worry of the week. Jesus actually address this subject in Matthew 6:25-34. I have read this verse several times and love it. It reminds me not to be anxious about today or tomorrow for each day is in Gods control and he has already provided for us.
