When we brought they girls home in 2008 their birth certificates said they were 6 & 9 (but quickly learned they were actually about 8 & 12 ... about the ages of your new kids). It has definitely been the younger of our two that has had many more difficulties. This could be due to differing personalities, different trauma experiences beforehand, or a whole host of other variables. As you said, every adoption can be so very different. If we had only adopted our older daughter, we would think that "older child adoption" is pretty easy. However, I guess the Lord didn't want us to take the "easy route". :)

Hope your weekend is BLESSED.

LaurelLaurelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17253303288242135440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6045390691526021049.post-4309356254094940822012-05-23T16:21:18.147-07:002012-05-23T16:21:18.147-07:00I enjoy following your story so much...thanks for ...I enjoy following your story so much...thanks for being so honest! So many are ...What a great post and perfect timing! So many are talking about older child adoption- such a blessing and yet so challenging.

I am so thankful to God that Noelani is settling in- God is so good!

I will be praying for Clive- could it be a guy thing where he is looking for his spot amongst the other boys? I don't know? Our Sam has been more mischievous lately. BUT then it is hard to tell who is really having the problem. The child that wants to play with the toy he has or him??? and the girls tattle ALL the time!

As far as language and speech- pray, pray, pray- the enemy loves to drive us crazy with this issue. I am constantly giving it to God.

Miss you!
HUGS,
JeanJeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00219821176198096628noreply@blogger.com
