Hi...

How are ya’ll doing?
We are finally on our summer break from school, and I was especially ready for that this year. Spring flew right by and now Summer is here in the Colorado Rockies, which means I am typing with a sweater on because it is only 61 degrees here today. Ha.

I am hoping to catch up with with many things in the next few weeks; including this blog.
Jace and Karlie were here a few days ago. It was so nice to have them here!
We had our first camping trip of the summer. I always love the time to get away as a family and just breathe and enjoy God’s beautiful creation.
The children are at soccer camp each morning this week. That means that I am getting to enjoy some VERY unusual quietness in the house.
I broke my arm in early March and had an MRI last week to see if there are some other problems that might still be causing the pain in my wrist.
Our little ranch has grown and I will update more at that soon. My alpacas were sheared and I am looking so forward to spinning some soon!
Before and after of Natashia. Alpacas are so funny looking right after they have been sheared!

I feel so behind on so many things. The picture on this blog page are all several years old, but I just don’t have the time right now to update them. Life goes on though, and I don’t want to stress over the little things.
Almost time to pick up the children from camp.

Shake a Bootie

Part Two of Bathing in a COLD Colorado river...
So what does a boy do after he has washed up in an icy cold river in the mountains of Colorado?

 Well, you dance, of course.

You shake your bootie to get it warm.
And then you go find someone to splash because the dancing party is just to fun to keep to yourself.

Ahhh, boys!  I wouldn’t want to live my life without them and all the fun they bring into my life!!!

Going Bye-Bye

Keshawn’s little finger was crushed in a door today...it may be fractured, but he will be OK.
We had a really big lightning storm tonight.  Steve was trying to fix the lights on the trailer but had to quit, so we are praying it can be fixed in the morning so that we can leave early to get down to the south Colorado mountains before to late. We are wanting to enjoy one more camping trip before it starts to get to cool here.  So the children are saying that we are going “bye-bye” in the morning.  I sure hope that we can leave before it is to late.
I had to share this “fairy lights” shot of Kiana with ya’ll.  I was trying to get the sun behind her and the light did this....isn’t it weird/fun?  I did not photo shop anything in this.  We told Kiana that it looks light fairies are kissing her...LOL.
Write more on Monday when we get back.  Praying for a good and restful family time together!

Before/After Blog Hop

I really like playing along in Pixel Perfect's Before/After blog hop. It is so fun to see how others edit their photo's.
Here is my before/after edit for this week. I thought this picture of Jace was cute...my big twenty year old in the "children's" new go cart; however, because this was an action photo, I wasn't able to frame it as well as I wanted to...
....so here is the SOOC (straight out of camera) photo.

Here is my edited version. I cropped it and used one of my favorite new actions that I get at Coffee Shop

I pray that your week is going well. Steve and I went to a funeral for his aunt yesterday. I was excited because it was a whole day to be with my husband (well, we did have Keshawn with us). Do you think it is bad to get excited about a "date" with your husband because of a funeral? We did get to eat out and we bought a new kitchen sink because ours has rebelled and broke. I think it just decided it would have no more of those LARGE pots and pans I use for a family of 12.
It is COLD here today...to bad, it would be such a nice day if the children could play outside. It has been a cooler than normal spring here so far, and we may have more snow before the weekend is over.
We are in the last few months of our school, and as is normal, I am taking a few days from teaching to re-organize and re-think some of the children's school. And of course, there are clothes to wash...I'm behind; then again, I was behind as soon as they put new clothes on this morning....LOL.
