Oh. WOW!!! That is pretty amazing. I'm pretty sure my kids have no idea what music notes even are... Some lessons are in order to hone that talent I would think.
I'd be praying about this one Shonni!! I'm a music teacher and can tell you, this is not normal! :) I'd say get him piano lessons as a starting point, if you can. God will open the doors as you seek them! Wow! xx
Ummm.....I'll add my NO to this one, too! As a Worship Leader, I'd say (as you already know)....major gifting!! Have you yet read about Akiane? Check her out, too. And be careful who you allow to mentor your him. :)
I just found your blog through the mega family blog. This is wonderful and a great blessing from God. Feed his talent, but as a musician I encourage you to also feed his heart and love for music as it develops, so that it doesn't just become black dots on a page, but something that is truly speaking to and from his heart as it did on this day!
My 12 year old daughter found your blog this morning and told me I needed to see this. At our house that IS normal! My 6 year old who hasn't started music lessons yet is constantly writing musical compositions. Granted, he is using blank paper, but it looks very much the same. My husband and I have masters degrees in music and the older children play piano and violin so there is music often lying around in his sight. The funny thing is that he wants me to sing it to him and when I attempt to, he tells me it is wrong. One day, I am going to have him sing what is in his head and write it out correctly!
AWESOME!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not normal :-)
Better get him into some music lessons!
HELLO!!! I studied music in college and I probably could not do that.
ReplyDeleteNO!

That is so awesome. I think there is something there you need to tap into and let GOD run with it!!
