Hey Ya'll...

How are things in your home?

Still no news on job/relocation.  So for now, this is still our home, and we have asked the LORD to show us the work that needs done.

Steve has really become interested in bees; so he built boxes for our bees that will come from CA later this month. We are looking forward to the honey, and Caresse and I are looking forward to the wax to make lotions from.   Steve even bought a table saw to help build the houses for the bees, and a shed for our two little lambs.

Yep, seriously, we are bringing home two baby ewes that were born last week.  That's right - sheep.  They were born Easter weekend, and will be coming home to us in June.   They are Shetland sheep, and we are really excited.  We wanted them to have our own fiber for spinning and knitting.  I need to name my two newest  girls - want to help me?  Please comment with you suggestions.  There will be a prize for the two names that I chose.

I had to have a cortisone shot in my elbow today - injury from last year when I fell and broke my collar bone.  Shot - 2, after pain -9.  Boy has it hurt tonight!

Today is my ________________ birthday.
Yep, 49 years that the LORD has blessed me.  To HIM be the glory!   I am grateful to HIM for each day.

One of my oldest daughters has had a rough week.  One of the hardest things to teach a child that has spent the majority of her life in an orphanage is "what does a family look like and how is it different from everything you have ever known..."
I ask the LORD daily for wisdom to mother each of my children and I am so proud of my them...
not because of anything that we do, but as we work with GOD, we are privileged to see "who" these little people are.  I find myself "falling in love" with them all the time.
Speaking of cute, I little house finch showed up in our garage this morning, and seems to be hurt.  All my little people are asking me to come make it better.  So I guess I will go see if I can be a bird doctor now...LOL.

  1. Always good to hear from you. I've been wondering how you and your family are doing. :)

We used to have bees, when we lived on a blueberry farm. My husband really enjoyed this hobby (and I enjoyed the honey) for about 5 years.

Blessings to you and the family.

  4. Even though I have no idea how to do of all these things (keep bees, make lotion, spin fiber), I LOVE reading about how your family does them...maybe some day I'll learn too!
