Mama's comin' Keshawn!!

Keshawn2-09
I leave on the 28th for Ethiopia! YEA...PRAISE THE LORD!
I'll be gone for one week.
I was so excited I couldn't focus on schooling today, which worked out because a dear friend of our family called last minute and came out to visit.
Now the fun part...going to the basement after lunch to pull out that precious box with baby boy clothes in it so I can wash them and get everything ready to bring Keshawn home.
I am excited to see Ethiopia also, and am praying that I can do some sight seeing if possible. I have also asked our agency if there is any work I can do at the orphanage while I am there.
Celebrating today as we are one step closer to holding our baby!
Please pray for us as we raise the last little bit of money that we need for travel. We have changed the Chip-In on the side to reflect what we need at this time. Thank you all for your prays, and love!

  4. Been waiting for this post! Hooray! Thank you, Jesus, Kershawn will soon be joining his family! Asking God to work out all the details for you!

(If you are taking gifts for the orphanage, be sure to include some sturdy blow-up punch balls (balloons). Lots of play value for a cheap price, and almost no weight!)

  5. So happy for you to finally bring him home! He is absolutely precious.(I sent a "baby gift" to your chip-in fund.) I pray that God provides all you need before you travel.

I found your blog because we have mutual bloggy friends. I've enjoyed "meeting" your family through your sweet stories. Your family is beautiful--such an inspiration in your obedience to care for orphans. We hope to someday have "nations around our table" too. We're bringing our first adopted child home, Lord willing, in time for Christmas (a 9 year old boy from Guatemala).

    God Bless,
    Kathie and Family

Rejoicing with you sweet friend. Wishing I was going with you to get our girl...are you going to Waliso? You could give her a hug for us if you were.

I can just picture you humming and washing those tiny boy clothes...what a blessing to have a tiny baby again! I am so happy for you friend.

I'm interested in how this whole adoption thing works. How and when did you know Keshawn was the one you were adopting? Did they match you with him? or did you choose?
