I know your secret because I've seen you comment about it on several blogs. But don't worry...it's safe with me until you want to share with the world! :)
Hi Shonni =) Okay so your comment on hmmm you know where totally surprised me in a completely wonderful way! I thought I had missed something ... and I am an avid reader and now I see I haven't missed anything =) It is AMAZING the way God works and blesses in our lives! I look forward with GREAT EXPECTATION about what (I think I know) God is doing right now in your life! You and your beatuiful family are an INSPIRATION, on sooooo many levels! Blessings Maria
One of my good friends is Chinese and she bought Rosetta Stone for her non-Chinese speaking son and is happy with it. We plan on using it next year when we study Sonlight Core 5 since we'll be taking a trip to China afterwards.
Met Jace at church yesterday! Precious son of yours and Carly is gorgeous. They are coming over soon! They may or may not have mentioned something about this cryptic post.
Love how He connects those with shared passions. :)
Definitely can't wait to hear the "whys" but I did a post on how we learned Chinese and put on the links to things in this post.... http://onechinesebrother.blogspot.com/2010/02/chinese-for-adoptive-parent.html Hope it helps!!!
Jelous 'cause I don't know. We tried Rosetta stone--just not my style of learning. We know alot of sign language though, and have used it with all the kids until the catch on. Still use it for potty--but it;s not a secret anymore--everyone at our church knows the sign for potty=0
Yes! I can help: PIMSLEUR......we have tried every single program known to mankind & I promise you IMMEDIATE results. Seriously. Rosetta Stone was way too labor intensive for my family. With R.S. you get words quickly, with P. you get sentences quickly. You can go to this link for a "trial lesson." We listen in the car as a family & it works surprisingly well!
hey- if you find anyone let me know-- I'm looking for a native Chinese (mandarin) speaker to teach our kids (and me!)
