One of my good friends is Chinese and she bought Rosetta Stone for her non-Chinese speaking son and is happy with it. We plan on using it next year when we study Sonlight Core 5 since we'll be taking a trip to China afterwards.Good luck!Celee

Definitely can't wait to hear the "whys" but I did a post on how we learned Chinese and put on the links to things in this post.... http://onechinesebrother.blogspot.com/2010/02/chinese-for-adoptive-parent.html Hope it helps!!!
I know your secret too I read it on a comment blog. Promise I won't say a word.
Jelous 'cause I don't know.We tried Rosetta stone--just not my style of learning. We know alot of sign language though, and have used it with all the kids until the catch on. Still use it for potty--but it;s not a secret anymore--everyone at our church knows the sign for potty=0
Pick me, pick me....I know, I know :):):)
no fair! I wanna know what I assume is some very exciting news about China!!!! Fess up, girl!
Yes! I can help: PIMSLEUR......we have tried every single program known to mankind & I promise you IMMEDIATE results. Seriously. Rosetta Stone was way too labor intensive for my family. With R.S. you get words quickly, with P. you get sentences quickly. You can go to this link for a "trial lesson." We listen in the car as a family & it works surprisingly well!http://www.pimsleur.com/List-of-Languages
EXCITED for you to have to know Chinese. ;0)
