Coming, Coming, Gone

IMG_3169
Are these flowers not gorgeous? I'm not good with flowers or gardens...I just don't have the time or money to do them, however, this year I planted some of these bulbs and they began to bloom a few days ago. Horror awaited me when I opened the door on Monday and found that "someone" had pulled up two of my plants - and right when they were about to open! Being the good non-gardener that I am I stuck them back in the ground, apologized to them and watered them.

Then when I went out to take these pictures, that same "someone" began to pull the "pretty yellow" flowers off of my remaining three plants. It's hard for the little darlin's to understand that they can pick the flowers out in our front field but NOT in the garden.

We are looking forward to seeing our precious friends who are missionaries in Mexico tonight. Hope they don't mind beans and rice (Ha).
Off to finish getting ready....

  1. Those are beautiful flowers! Isn't is fun to watch something that you've planted grow and bloom? I just get such joy out of that!

I know what you mean about "someone" picking the flowers in the garden! My little "someone" picked one of our first lilies to bloom and proudly brought his gift to his momma. =)

  2. I love gardening and flowers! Wasn't God good to give us so much beauty to enjoy?

I laughed out loud when I saw that you are feeding your missionary friends from Mexico beans and rice! I bet they will laugh too! And I'm sure they will love the reason that you are doing it.

  6. Love the flowers....they are gorgeous (or at least were). xo

PS All the times we've served in the orphanage in Mexico we ate beans and rice, pretty much non-stop, even for breakfast....so your friends will be feelin' right at home, no doubt - haha!! (Bummed maybe, but feelin' right at home!)

  7. Oh ladies,

This happens at my house all the time! I often find myself the recipient of some lovely flowers that I wanted to have stay in the garden!

I try to receive them with joy, as they are thinking of their momma.

Thank you for following my blog. I look forward to getting to know you and your precious family!
