A long time-by Kalyn

It has been quit a while since my last post. And I am sorry for not having been writing more regularly, I will start writing like every other day or something like that. But here are some exciting things that have happened in the last week. First my best friends were here and stayed with us for two days and we will get to see them again in two weeks. Which I am really happy about!!!
Three best friends

Blowing kisses

We went and took pictures with the Hancocks on Saturday. It was so much fun; we had a gorgeous day and it was just perfect for taking pictures. We went to the park too and played around and went for a walk on the trails that are at it; it was a perfect day all round.

Today I had been looking forward to a drive with just me and daddy; in our new spiffy little red car.(which is a stick shift)

But I really couldn't believe it when daddy said that I was going to drive it in town! And it was really my first time to drive it. So I was like pretty much freaking out.
But everything went well and we made it to Walmart in one piece and then back home again. I only stalled it a few times luckily I stalled it the most when we were still in our drive way. I only stalled it once in town and that was when we were at a stop sign so I am very proud of myself considering how nerves I was.

Here is my best friend and me having fun together!

I hope you all had a great Labor day!!!

  1. Kalyn - you and your friends are just precious together! Thanks for sharing about your drive in that cute car - I am grinning ear to ear thinking of the first time my daddy taught me to drive a stick shift. It took me a while to get the hang of it - and I giggled every time I jerked that car into stalling :) The good news is, once you learn it you'll never forget.

  2. Oh Kalyn--those are stunning pics of you and your best friends. LOVE them. So glad you got to drive the new car--I know, a stick is pretty difficult to get used to. That is ALL we have in South Africa, so it is a piece of cake for me :)

  5. Stick-shifts make me nervous, too. I only tried to drive one a couple of times and decided it was not for me. :)

Love the pics with you and your friends. Look like you had a lot of fun!
