O.K., I'm Not the Brightest Bulb...

in the house. (Just teasing...);

I have spent all day trying to understand Photoshop Elements, actions and textures...(well, we did do some homeschool, and laundry, and I did feed the children THREE times today; and change diapers and feed a baby...ect.).
I am dyslexic, so this is so much harder than I could ever explain. Kalyn is also dyslexic (as is my dad and several other family members).
Soooo, I have no idea what I did to this photo, but I decided all of this "clueless" learning and effort today deserved a shot in "blog-world"...I hope that I remember what I "didn't learn" today so that I can do it again!

And, my children are enjoying all my hard work...they laughingly commented on the "photo-graphic illusion (not)" that I look like I have a bird coming out of my head...and "geez, mom, don't you know how to "edit that?"
"No sweet, adorable, darling children who are laughing at me, I have no idea how to get rid of the "bird" on my head...may be next week..."

  1. You are the cutest bird lady ever :) You did a great job accidentally editing that beautiful portrait. I still can't figure out Photoshop Elements and I'm not dyslexic. I find it to be very user-unfriendly. I like picnik.com. Easy peasy. Goodnight xo.

  2. I think it looks great! There are some fun things in photoshop but it sure is time consuming and hard to remember what you did!

    Seriously. I have not even BEGUN to look at photoshop. And truly, don't ya feel like if you fed them, taught them, and loved them, it ought to be a full day's work?? ((hugs))

  5. Great job! I prefer CS to Elements but use both. The "bird" took me looking for it to see, but you can get rid of it by using the "healing brush" tool. Google it and you can find some good tutorials. :)

  9. I am so with you on the Photoshop thing. UGH! I was so excited when I got it for my birthday last year and then realized it was SO over my head. I did find some books at the library that helped. Sort of. :)

    I didn't even notice the bird. Kids can be so cruel. hahahaha

  10. Beautiful picture! Kids always seem to notice things ... that we wish they wouldn't! I have been ask about the parentheses on my face ;-)
    Thanks kids! I just said it is because I smile so much and then used my hubby line "I bet you wish you had them, too!"

    Best of luck on the photo thing! I'm just not their yet! With more kids coming I bet I never will be there!
