I am new to your blog and found you through Amy's by reading through the comments. We have 8 bio children with baby #9 just being welcomed into heaven at 14 wks gestation. We recently pursued domestic adoption only to have CPS have VERY strong opinions about our family size. It was utter heartbreak since we had a sibling group of 7 that were waiting on our HS to be completed. We have prayed and begun our pursuit of international adoption since our family has such an intense heart for adoption. We are currently searching for an agency that will work with an already large family. Do you mind sharing the agency you work with? I would also like to ask you how you have dealt with government income requirements. We have been told that to be over poverty guidelines in order to be permitted to adopt we must make 10,000.00 p/ person in the household plus another 10,000 p/ child we wish to adopt. We are looking at sibling groups with as many as 4 or more. So, our income would have to be as much as 140,000 or more a year to even qualify to adopt internationally. Do you know if this is true or have any experience with it? Please feel free to email me at medicinemansgirl@yahoo.com if you would like to share any answers concerning these things. We have researched international adoption for years but are fairly new to the "nuts and bolts" end of the process. But we have a passion God has laid on our hearts for adoption.
Praying with you Shonni and will cover you on the 19th!
