My Get Up And Go....

Got and and went....
Have you seen it? (ha-ha)
Now, if you aren’t from Texas, I’m not sure if you have heard that will have to let me know.  My precious uncle is still with us and resting comfortably.  I came home sick with a cold...yuck.
Steve was honored to be chosen for a nomination for his work at State Farm.  The ceremony was held in Las Vegas (not one of my favorite cities!!!!) and was an expense paid trip (Yea).  We stayed at the Wynn which was BEAUTIFUL, but everything was SO expensive!!  I felt guilty just eating even small things!

My parents met us for part of the trip, which was so fun.  We saw a great show and enjoyed being together.
Aren’t they cute!  I sure do love those guys.

Talking with some of the actors at the show.

I am so proud of Steve and the work he has done at State Farm.

I was so thankful that we were together with my parents when we found out that Uncle Charles was so sick.  We were able to put me on a flight with mom and dad so that I could go straight to Texas with them instead of having to fly back to Colorado 1st.
This brings my back to my “get up and go”;
it just ain’t!!!
Oh well, some weeks are just like that, huh?
We will be enjoying a little time with some sweet friends this weekend.  I pray that you have a weekend filled with love, laughs and beauty!

  1. Looks like a FABULOUS mom and dad time! Your parents look SO FUN! YOu guys looked beautiful all gussied up!

  2. I've heard that saying before, but maybe because my mom's side of the family is from Texas! My mom was born there and move "up north" when she was just school age, but she has many cousins, aunts & uncles still there.

Hope you are able to get some rest and feel better soon.

  3. Congrats to your hubby for great work!

You two look great all dressed up, glad you had a nice time.

Your parents are so stinkin' cute!!!

  4. Shonni
You look gorgeous, so glad you had a great time.

  5. Oh Shonni...your pictures are SO GREAT! You all are so darn cute! I'm glad you had a nice get-away! But so sorry your uncle is so sick.

    Congrats to your husband!

  6. You are so beautiful in and out.

    Praying for your family. (((((hugs)))

  7. Shonni - I am so behind with my favorite blogs, I'm just catching up on yours. So sorry to hear of your family's loss but it's so exciting to think of the time when we will all meet again in another realm :) Does your husband work for State Farm? I am part of a big State Farm family myself. My dad, uncle, step-mom and I all are/were with State Farm for careers. Would love to catch up with you by email when things are back to 'normal' lol on your end. xoxoxo
