BREATH

I'm having one of those moments...you know the kind...
there are so many things that I need to get done; trying to get ready to leave on our vacation by Fri., Kiana doesn't have enough clothes and I need to buy more (not sure how that happened), Aiden keeps YELLING this morning, the dog peed upstairs and I'm out of pee cleaner, Aiden just yelled again, I think my hands are starting to shake....(just teasing LOL).

And on top of all that ... I'm not getting to do what I want to do!!!! I now, that's silly, but it is the truth right now. I wanted to sit quietly and read the Bible, or read this new book I got yesterday, or write that last post about Uganda, or do some redstitch, or learn more about my Photoshop and photography, or just be outside because it is nice...well, instead, I need to clean some badly neglected areas of the house, go to town, take care of some important adoption paperwork, braid the girls hair for the trip, and the list goes on....
my wants and the to do list are clashing in my mind and I'm feeling stressed!
So I decided I needed to breath for a second.
I found one of my pictures that speaks beauty and
peace, played with it a touch in photoshop;found a verse that I like...."Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!" Psalm 150:6; and am reminding myself that I will breath praises as I go do the good work that I have to do, because I am thankful for my family and for the fun trip that we get to take with my family in Texas. And as I go about the business, I will breath in HIS beauty and breath out my praises!
Ready, set,... first, coffee! ("Thank you LORD, for coffee.")

  1. I think so many times us moms feel the exact way you are describing. I am glad you took a moment to breathe in His goodness. He is your strength today. You can do all things through Him in you. His grace is sufficient. He is faithful and I pray you just feel His presence today in each task you undertake.

  2. Great post! I feel that way many, many mornings! It's overwhelming to know where to start with all that needs to be done. It seems all cluttered in my brain as I'm trying to mentally prioritize. Breathe. Yes, good idea.

    And coffee...it truly is one of God's mercies that are new each morning.

  3. Oh how I know that feeling...just breath deep and do the next thing on your list. Or make the list! lol You'll get it all done, and if you don't, it didn't truly have to be done!

    The twisty curls are so easy to do. Just take a small portion of their hair and break it into two pieces, then wrap and wrap tightly. And then when you get to the end, just twist it around your finger. Did that make sense? Maybe I could take a couple pics of me doing one curl. It's easier to do than explain. And hope and halle's hair are both very different and it works for both, so I bet it would work for Joeliana and Alia's hair. {I love their names by the way!}
