Not Comin' Home

Steve has been trying for two hours to get home, but this winter storm hit harder than we thought. He will spend the night sleeping on a chair in town at his work office (to save money at a hotel). The down side...I took Keshawn to the Dr. because he has really become sick with the symptoms of RSV, which, sure enough he has...and the medicine that he needs is at the Walgreens that Steve can't get to because of the winter storm. So I am at home (with a low fever myself) with no medicine for Keshawn and no husband and it is a Blizzard outside. I guess if Keshawn gets bad tonightI will have to call 911...so I am praying that we can hold our own for now. Steve is calling our dr. to see if we can use Corbin's asthma meds to help keep Keshawn out of the red.
Sorry no pictures...
on a funny side, Alia asked me if she could take her dolls to Heaven...I decided that the LORD could handle this, so I said,
"Well, you will have to ask God."
Alia said "What if He says no?"
Quick thinkin', I said, "Well, He must have something better for you."
She said "And if He says 'Yes', I am going to hold on to my dolls really tight when I go."
Me..."Yes, baby, that is a great plan."
So, we are headed off to bed, holding our dolls tights, and praying for sick babies to feel better soon.

  1. Aww, sweet thoughts from Alia!

    Praying for Keshawn!!

  2. Oh, I am so sorry to hear about Keshawn. I would think that you might be able to use the nebulizer. I remember Adam having RSV as a baby and I think that we used the same medicine that he used later when he had problems with asthma.

    Praying for you.

  3. Our big boys had asthma growing up but have grown out of it, PTL. I do know what you are going through and it's so not fun. I will pray for your family tonight, especially Keshawn... that God will keep you and give you peace...and good sleep.

  4. Oh my goodness I will pray for little Keshawn that the Lord cares for him and that there will be no need to call 911. Sorry to hear your husband is stranded, I wasn't even aware of the fact you got hit by a blizzard. Hope you get some sleep tonight.

  5. We are praying for you guys and confident that our Lord has you in the palm of HIs hand!!

  6. What a fantastic thought! Alia loves her babies as much as her Mama loves her. Isn't that what we want for our children? To love as much as they are loved. She will be a wonderful Mama... she has a great mama herself.
I will pray for your sweet family tonight.

  7. Oh Shonni, what a time you are having. Will join you in praying for your precious baby & also for yourself.
    May God hold you close

  8. Oh, Shonni, I'm lifting your whole family up right now!

  9. Praying for y'all to make it through the night with no calls to 911

  10. Praying for all of you!

Precious words out of the mouths of babes. Our daughter Jordan is heartsick that her "piggie" can't come to heaven. We told her God will have something even more special there and she smiles. But then quickly says, "what will happen to piggie?" Awwwww

Love and hugs - prayers for Steve's safety and healing in your home!

  11. Hope everyone is better this morning!
    Take care!

  12. Praying that this morning things are going much better! His grace is sufficient!

    In His Love,

  13. I sure hope that all is well, or at least getting better now. I hope that your little one gets the help that is needed. Thank you for commenting on my blog. Your family reminds me of what heaven will look like...how beautiful.
